    Graphic Recording After an Event

Visual scribing can take many forms and serve many purposes. While I'm usually in the same physical space as a speaker–listening, writing, and drawing as things unfold–occassionally, I'll create a graphic digitally after an event.

Dr. Jennifer Goldman-Wetzler is the Founding Principal of the NYC-based consulting firm Alignment Strategies Group ( She recently gave a talk at Google's main campus on Mastering Conflict (you can check out the video here). In her talk, Jen discusses the seven key practices to becoming a conflict master. She offers an approach designed to change the way you engage with difficult conflicts in the workplace, at home, and in the community. I figured we could all give these seven principles a shot, especially in today's political and social climate.

In this case, graphic facilitation is a way to give people an overview of something they might have missed. It could also be used as an introduction that allows an audience to delve deeper into each of the seven points at their own leisure.
